who am I ?

oh, how i love the earth, moon and sky...

Hi ! My name is Hailee Hawkins, and I have always considered myself an artist, or at least an artistic/creative person. Even in childhood,I wanted to be a fashion designer for a majority of elementary, then an interior designer. my interests evolved throughout my life. I always gravitated towards 2d physical art like painting and drawing. I really enjoy art because it gave me a way to translate ideas from inside my head into a physical form, without worrying about using the right words or grammar (Grammar is a prison, I don't even like using capital letters ) I have a lot of thoughts in my brain sometimes and art/drawing allows me to get it out a little bit without other people knowing exactly what feelings are incorporated. have always liked 2-dimensional mediums the best because I have pretty good 2-dimensional awareness that allows me to copy what I see/think onto paper. I also went to cosmetology school hoping it would get me to a place where I can do creative makeup for theater or shows like cirque du soleil, but we did a lot of hair and I honestly didn't enjoy the lack of creativity that hairstylists have. However, I did start a personal makeup account on instagram so that I could post my bright makeup looks. Anyway, I have very little experience with digital art through classes in high school or a personal attempt at digital drawing, but I have absolutely no technological awareness or skill. I’ve learned very basic photoshop/illustrator commands that basically went in one ear and out the other. Digital Softwares are intimidating to me because it’s a bunch of buttons/steps to memorize that yield similar results to a paintbrush or scissors. However, I’ve always been so interested in digital art and online media/graphic design. Being able to physically interact with art has always been somewhat important to my ability to do art, so digital art is a new sort of challenge that I am so ready for.
